Many children, parents and grandparents are already in their seats. Everyone is waiting impatiently for the performance in the grand opera house to begin. Tonight’s show is "The Magic Flute"! The famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed the music for the opera more than 200 years ago, while his friend Emanuel Schikaneder wrote the story for it. Now there is not much time until the performance starts. The most important preparations have been completed. The make-up of the singers is ready, most of the participants have put on their costumes and behind the big curtain the stage set is also ready. In the orchestra pit, the musicians are ready to play. The instruments have been tuned; all are now waiting for the conductor. When he comes, there's a round of applause. The conductor goes to his podium, bows deeply to the audience, and then turns to the orchestra. The hall is quiet. The performance begins. Yet, on the stage, nobody sings! Yes, even the curtain is still down! This is because at the beginning there is a musical introduction to the story, a piece of music to warm up the audience, called overture.The tension in the hall rises; the music is getting louder and louder. Then, the overture is over, the great curtain rises and... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Większość widzów dzieci, rodzice i dziadkowie zajęli już miejsca na widowni. Wszyscy czekają niecierpliwie (w napięciu ) na rozpoczęcie przedstawienia w Teatrze Wielkim Opery. Dzisiejsze przedstawienie nosi tytuł „Czarodziejski flet”!. Słynny kompozytor Wolfgang Amadeusz Mozart skomponował muzykę do tej opery ponad 200 lat temu a jego przyjaciel Emanuel Schikanader napisał libretto. Już niewiele czasu zostało do rozpoczęcia przedstawienia. Wszystko już zostało przygotowane. Śpiewacy mają zrobiony makijaż, większość artystów założyła swoje kostiumy i scenografia za wielką kurtyna jest także już ustawiona. W orkiestrionie muzycy nastroili instrumenty i teraz czekają na dyrygenta. Kiedy się pojawia publiczność wita go oklaskami a on stając na dyrygenckim podium kłania się nisko widowni a następnie obraca się w stronę orkiestry. Zapada cisza. Rozpoczyna się przedstawienie chociaż na scenie jeszcze nikt nie śpiewa a kurtyna jest ciągle opuszczona. Tak się dzieje ponieważ na początku opery grana jest uwertura, muzyczny wstęp wprowadzający widownie w atmosferę przedstawienia. Podekscytowanie widowni jest coraz większe; muzyka staje się coraz głośniejsze i kiedy kończy się uwertura wielka kurtyna podnosi się i ………….
At this very moment Tomino falls in love with Pamina, the beautiful daughter of the mysterious Queen of Night. The Queen of Night reigns, as her name suggests, over the darkness and the night. There is a good reason for her to be furious: her husband was the King of the Sun and the Light. When he died, he left his kingdom not to her, but to King Sarastro. And then Sarastro even arranged for the kidnapping of her daughter. This was really a bit too much for her ...Up until now, a mortal had never seen the face of the Queen of the Night, blazing with stars. But now she appears in front of Tamino."My daughter, I miss her very much!" she laments and sings in her high-pitched voice to Tamino: "You'll go and rescue her! You will be my daughter's saviour! And when I see you have succeeded, then Pamina will be yours forever!” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tamino zakochuje się w Paminie, pięknej córce tajemniczej Królowej Nocy, która jak jej tytuł wskazuje, włada ciemnościami i nocą. Ona ma powody do wielkiego niepokoju; jej mąż był Królem Słońca i Światła. Kiedy umarł nie przekazał jej swego królestwa ale Królowi Sarastro a Sarastro zorganizował porwanie jej córki. Tego już było za wiele dla niej.. . Zwykli śmiertelnicy nigdy do tej pory nie mogli zobaczyć oblicza Królowej Nocy, zapalającej gwiazdy. Jednak teraz zjawiła się przed Tamino. ”Moja córka, bardzo mi jej brakuje!” lamentuje i śpiewa głośno z rozpaczając: „Idź i ocal ją. Bądź mojej córki wybawcą. I jeśli zobaczę, że ją uratowałaś wówczas Pamina będzie Twoja na zawsze.
Papageno’s mouth is still locked."Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm!" is the only thing he can sing."I am too weak to help you!" Tamino says regretfully.Then the three ladies of the Queen come back and remove the padlock from Papageno’s mouth. "The Queen releases you from your punishment," sings the first one."You may chat now", sings the second, "just never lie again!" And Pagageno responds meekly: "Nevermore!"The three ladies confirm, "This lock is your warning!" As Papageno wants to sneak away, the three ladies convey to him the wish of the Queen: he has to accompany Tamino in his search of Pamina! For the journey, they give Tamino a magic flute with mysterious powers. Papageno gets silver chimes. Three child-spirits will also accompany and protect them on their way.So, Tamino and Papageno, equipped with the magic flute and the bells, set off to find the castle of the great King of the Sun, Sarastro. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usta Papagena są ciągle zamknięte na kłódkę. Ale zaraz potem trzy damy Królowej wracają i zdejmują kłódkę z ust Papageno a pierwsza z nich śpiewa „Królowa uwalnia ciebie od kary” i „ „Możesz rozmawiać teraz ale nigdy nie kłam więcej’ dodaje druga. „Nigdy więcej!” odpowiada potulnie Papageno. „Ta kłódka jest dla ciebie ostrzeżeniem” przypominają trzy damy. Kiedy Papageno chce wymknąć się niepostrzeżenie trze damy przekazują mu polecenie od Królowej: ma towarzyszyć Tamino w poszukiwaniu Paminy ! Na wyprawę Tamino dostaje od nich Czarodziejski Flet posiadający tajemną moc a Papageno srebrne dzwonki. Trzy duszki także będą im towarzyszyć i wskazywać drogę. Zatem, Tamino i Papageno, wyposażeni w Czarodziejski Flet i dzwonki wyruszają by odnaleźć zamek Wielkiego Króla Słońce Sarastro.
