Select one of the types of groups: Task group, Team, Treatment, Support, Committees, etc., giving an example of how it functions, its purpose, goals, and relevance to the individuals that participate in the group. What kinds of variables might act as barriers to the successful outcomes of this group? What factors might work to empower the group to achieve its goals? Please use 250-300 words to discuss this topic, and include a minimum of one scholarly reference. Respond to a minimum of two of your classmates. • Theories on Groups. Of all the theories discussed in Chapter 3 (field, social exchange, learning psychoanalytic, systems, empowerment, and feminist), which one helps you understand best how groups function?
