Thai Floods 2011

The devastating floods of 2011 in Thailand impacted not only human lives but also local wildlife. In the historical city of Ayutthaya, rising waters forced 15 elephants, including 7 mothers and their calves, to seek refuge atop their enclosures. The delivery of food to these elephants has become challenging, as supplies can only arrive in small quantities by rowboats. Thai officials are deeply concerned that these majestic animals, which require substantial amounts of food and fresh water daily, may suffer from hunger amidst this natural disaster.
