Bickers, Director • Kevin Varney, Advisor • Rachael Moore, Coordinator -Walk-in advising, Mon-Wed, 1pm – 4pm (guide students through the process to study abroad, i.e. application procedures, scholarship opps, financial aid, etc.) -Provide assistance/advice to faculty when developing program (IEEC, orientation, templates, assist with recruiting, etc.) -Ensures that required TBR paperwork for EA participants is accessible and collected (Pathway Packet) -Verifies that all participants have appropriate insurance (iNext) -Organizes mandatory pre-departure orientation

  6. Timeline for summer faculty October • Finalizing details of program • Application (template, cancellation policy) • Deadlines/deposits (rec. Dec. 1st, $300- $500) • Brochures (templates, 500 provided) • Budget/cost sheet (clearing account, recruiting, provide cost sheet to EA) • send details to EA for website

  7. Timeline, cont… November • Study Abroad Fair (new Student Union) • Starting November 1st students can submit EA Online Participation Approval for summer programs • Active recruiting month

  8. Timeline, cont… December • Priority deadline, non-refundable deposit • Push EA Scholarship (do not need to be accepted) January • EA Scholarship deadline!

  9. Timeline, cont… February • Consider 1st payment deadline • EA Scholarship results via email March • EA Online Participation Approval Deadline! • Pathway Packet deadline! • Consider final payment • Final list of students to EA

  10. Timeline, cont… April • Mandatory pre-departure orientation • EA Scholarship disbursement possibility • Faculty Leader notebooks • Faculty Leader meeting with Dr. Schmidt

  11. Division of responsibilities • Faculty member – publicize, recruit students, create applications and start to collect applications/deposits, communicate requirements to selected participants • Students – submit all required documents and money by established deadlines, attend orientation • EA-promote, advise, assist, etc.
