Estimated Dovetail Top ~ 3 Hours Dovetail Base ~ 5 Hours Machine Field ~ 5 Hours Bead Blast ~ 5 Hours Wood Bases ~ 3.5 Hours Miscellaneous Filing ~ 2 Hours Assembly ~ 1.5 Hours TOTAL EST ~ 25 Hours Actual Dovetail Top ~ 3 Hours Dovetail Base ~ 8??? Machine Field ~ 7 Hours Bead Blast ~ 10 Hours Wood Bases ~ 4.5 Hours Miscellaneous Filing ~ 5 Hours Assembly ~ 1.5 Hours TOTAL ~ 39+ Time to Complete

  4. Conclusions • Hope to complete by early next week—over production cost of labor and machining • Box tubing was cheap alternative, but not effective to attain dovetail tolerances • Use higher quality of wood and cut more precisely

  5. What we Learned • CNC Machining / Mastercam • How to work in teams • You never are as close to being done as you think you are • You can never ask too many questions
