  1. Cole’sHouse of Energy Cole Mihalich 5th Grade Science Mrs. Auble’s class

  2. Potential:Stretched Rubber Band A Stretched Rubber Band wants to return to its original form.

  3. Kinetic: Released Rubber Band A released rubber band turn its potential energy into kinetic energy.

  4. Potential:Held Bouncy Ball A Bouncy Ball held off the ground has potential energy because of gravity.

  5. Kinetic:Dropped Bouncy Ball A dropped ball lets gravity change Potential into kinetic energy

  6. Potential:Compressed Spring A compressed spring also has potential energy because it is elastic.

  7. Kinetic:Open Spring When the spring opens it releases it's kinetic energy.

  8. Radiation:Fire Fire transfers heat to another object by radiation, we can use this to heat a pot.

  9. Conduction:Pot of boiling water When the pot gets hot it conducts heat to the water to make the water boil.

  10. Radiation:Microwave Oven A microwave oven uses microwave radiation to heat my hot cocoa.

  11. Conduction:Hot Cocoa If I drink hot cocoa it conducts heat to my mouth and can burn my tongue, OUCH!

  12. Convection:Furnace Our furnace blows hot air around the house to warm things up on a cold night.
