  1. Warm up 12/04/13 • Question: What type of bond: LiCl? CO2? • Answer: • LiCl = ionic (metal/non) • CO2 = covalent (2 non) • Goal: I will learn about two types of chemical bonds.

ELEMENT OF THE DAY • 38 – Strontium – Sr • Strontium-90 is a dangerous radioactive isotope present in nuclear fallout. • Strontium is used in glow-in-the-dark paints. • Sensodyne toothpaste’s active ingredient is a strontium compound. • Strontium alloyed with aluminum makes a metal that becomes harder after you bend it.
