  2. When? • 1 – 15 June 2014

  3. Who are eligible? • All current non final-year FBE students • Reasonable CGPA at the end of 1st semester 2013-14

  4. Why CBE? • Perspective from potential employers: • HKU FBE graduates are excellent, yet they need to know more about Mainland China

  5. CBE – Key features • Students will be enrolled into one 6-credit course • This course consists of 24 hours of class meetings and about 12 hours of guest lectures and site visits • Students are expected to spend additional time on studying and preparation for discussion and group projects

  6. CBE – Key features • An add-on – on top of the usual exchange opportunity • Students will be enrolled in one 6-credit course • All credits earned in CBE will be counted towards graduation requirements

  7. CBE – greatest enrichment opportunity • Freeflight tickets and accommodation on Fudancampus • Guest talks by scholars and business leaders • Short trips to nearby cities • Firm visits (e.g. Sheraton Shanghai PudongHotel,Alcatel-Lucent , EMC, Baosteel, Popcap China , Touchmedia)

  8. How to apply? • Complete an on-line application - include a one-page statement • Application from 24 Jan (9:00 a.m.) – 14 Feb (5 p.m.) 2014 • Application deadline: 5 p.m., 14 Feb 2014

  9. Selection Criteria • Reasonable CGPA • Extra-curricular activities • A one-page statement

  10. When will results be known? • Early March 2014 • Acceptance by mid March 2014 • Refundable deposit of HK$3,000 at the time of acceptance
