  1. The Gordon Beat Newsfrom Mrs. Gordon’s Learning Jungle Week of December 10, 2012 jgordon@paulding.k12.ga.us READING (R12, RF2,3,&4) We will be reading nonfiction and identifying the main idea. We will continue working on letter sounds, blends, digraphs, etc. WRITER’S WORKSHOP: (W1,2&3) We will be writing informational papers about historical figures. We will work on including adjectives in our writing. MATH(MD1,2&3) We will be learning how to tell time to the hour and half hour. Please help your child at home with time. A Word ( or two) from Mrs. Gordon! *Please sign and return the field trip permission slip form if you haven’t already done so. Thanks! *We will be having our Winter Party on Thursday 12/20 at 1:00. Information will come home soon. If you can join us for the party, please do – the more the merrier! *Please send in a stocking with your child if you plan to do so. Please send in white frosting if you can. Thank you. This is a busy and fun time of year but they will still have assessments and are expecteted to behave. Thank you!!
