GyanSys Case Study:Turner Construction (TCCO) About the Client Turner Construction Company (TCCO) was founded in 1912 and is the largest construction management firm in the U.S. ($10 B annual revenue). TCCO is a subsidiary of HochtielAG, which was founded in Germany in 1873 and now has 83,000 employees and $26 B in annual revenue. Turner has 46 offices in the U.S., is active in 20 countries around the world and averages 1,500 projects per year. Scope of the Project Upgrade the current ECC 6.0 to EHP4 and Support Stack SPS12 as quickly as possible while ensuring that adequate Unit and Integration testing is planned and executed with precision. Following the initial implementation of ECC 6.0 in March 2012 (Project Cornerstone), the ERP system entered a stabilization period and did not undergo any EHP or SPS upgrades. Panaya Testing Analysis, Planning, Reporting and Defect Remediation Tool was used to pin-point code modifications, require OSS Notes and create unit/integration test scripts and scenarios for automated testing. Modules in-scope: FI/CO, HCM, MM, PS, ESS/Portal, Payroll, SD, CRM, BI/BW/BOBJ Project Accomplishments In 5 months with a team of consultants, this project delivered an end-to-end technology upgrade to ECC 6.0 EHP4 SPS12 solution to cover the global operations of TCCO’s business. The approach included developing a test strategy, plans, execution and monitoring approach and executive test reporting. The approach uplifted a subset of test cases/scenarios and recorded them in the Panaya Test Automation and Test management. As a result, a permanent long-term strategy for optimized technology upgrade projects has been devised with detailed Roles/Responsibilities (RACI) matrix for test scripts creation, execution, verification and validation and a set of Playbooks for fast delivery.
