Our Proposed Solution • Cirus Controls Logger collects data from sensors (GPS, road temp, salt spreading, plow) • Toughbook collects data from Cirus Logger • Data sent to BDPW by Toughbook via Verizon Wireless Broadband PC Card • Data collected at BDPW servers, displayed using ArcGIS for customer support / management +

Disadvantages to Our Solution • Monthly service charge for wireless broadband service • High cost of Toughbook ~$5000 • Display larger than needed
