PLANNINGIN ADVANCE
  • Conduct a pre-visit to familiarize with the major features of the field trip.
  • Taking digital photographs to share with students prior to the visit.
  • Record addresses, directions, contact persons, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

ADMINISTRATION PERMISSION
  • Contact the educational coordinator for the site and arrange the date and time.
  • Send a letter to parents of the students informing them about the field trip.
  • Permission from the institution should be taken previously.

  • Develop schedule for the day.
  • Plan activities that allow students to work alone, in pairs or small groups Activities might include:
  • Mystery with clues provided
  • Adventure game
  • Field notebooks for recording answers to prepared questions based on clues

  • Introduce visual observation skills.
  • Introduce vocabulary words that will be used by docents during the tour.

  • Maintain daily diary from planning to the end

  • Excursion is as per the curriculum and has a meaningful purpose
  • Arrange necessary finances
  • Guide students towards decision taking
  • Act as a manager at execution stage
  • Checks indiscipline , Encourages, Involve all the students
  • Supervises the preservation and cultivation of collected material
  • Evaluate to see the achievement of educational objectives
