  1. Valentine’s Day Proposal Connor, Kiera, Acacia, Ashley, Sarah, David, William, Katie

  2. Purpose To promote: School Spirit Kindness Joy LOVE!* *All while abiding by school rules, appropriate social actions and/or conventions, and eliminating any or all awkward social situations which may arise including but not limited to the subject of “love”.

  3. Tuesday february 12th -Love Your Teacher Day • Announcement about events • Pink Bear Surprise • Decorations in Pit • Love music at lunch • Candy Grams for sale

  4. Wednesday february 13th -Laughing Heart Day • Announcements about events • Pink Bear Surprise • Decorations in Pit • Love Music at lunch • Balloon Popping game in Gym • Candy Grams for sale

  5. Thursday February 14th -Valentine’s Day: Wear Pink and Red • Announcement about events • Pink Bear Surprise • Decorations in Pit • Love Music at Lunch • Cotton Candy for sale • Chocolate Eating Contest- Dance tickets • Hand out candy/carnations, Matches, and Cards

  6. Goal #1 • Have school-wide participation in events ie. Chocolate eating contest, red & pink day, laughing heart day etc… -Success will be measured in how many students are involved and the after talk associated with the events. Big crowd + good things to say= SUCCESS!

  7. Goal #2 • Provide students with material objects to make them feel loved. ie. Candy Grams, Carnation Grams, Matchmaker etc… -Success will be measured in how many items are sold by the end of the week. Lot’s o’stuff sold = SUCCESS!!!

  8. Goal #3 • Create a joyful, colourful, and spontaneous Valentines Day/Week environment. ie. Decorations, Love Music, Pink Bear Surprise, Random Freddie Valentine Card Giveaways etc… -Success will be measured based on the reception of the students. Vandalism + Lot’s o’garbage = NOT SUCCESS…

  9. marketing* • Promoting events during announcements • Information on Lockers • Posters • Giant Banners • Advertise at the end of events • Use of Freddie *Advertising will start the week before.

  10. obstacles • Students getting out of control at high-energy events. Violence, vandalising, rioting, trolling etc… -We will have teacher supervisors monitoring events at all times.

  11. obstacles • Garbage or messiness being left on the ground from events. -We as a group will actively participate in post-event clean-up.
