  1. “Time For A Change” Presented By: -Asia Brazil -Dentaveous Walker -Heather Owens -Kalyn Harbin -Nicole Webb

  2. What’s On The Agenda? • The Situation • The Objectives • The Audience • The Strategy • The Tactics • The Calendar/Timetable • The Budget • The Measurement

  3. The Situation • Our situation is the fact that Lander University has a television station on campus located on the first floor of the learning center but it is rarely used. Many of the students in the mass communications program came to Lander because they were interested in reporting and thought working in the television station would give them plenty of opportunities for their future career.

  4. The Objectives • Our objective is to raise awareness to WLGTV, Lander University television station. We want the students of Lander University to get involved with the television station and have fun. We also want to have the publicity like XLR Lander University Radio has. To reach our objective goals we must raise awareness by coming up with a audience, a strategy, a tactic, a calendar/timetable, a budget and a measurement.

  5. The Audience • The audience that will help us raise awareness for our situation are the students, faculty and staff of Lander University. Also the people of Greenwood and local businesses can help get the word out. One way our audience can reach out is through media and social media. Facebook, Twitter, and any other social media websites will be a big help when it comes to raising awareness.

  6. The Strategy • Our strategy is a kickoff/event to raise awareness for our situation. • The event will be called, “WLGTV, time for a change.” • We will host our kickoff event on the plaza of the Lander University Cultural Center. • We will have t-shirts, water bottles, bumper stickers, and many other freebies promoting WLGTV.

  7. The Strategy Continued • Since Facebook and Twitter are great ways of communicating, WLGTV will have a Facebook and Twitter Page as ways of fans of the television station to get information of upcoming shows and updates. • WLGTV will also team up with XLR Lander Radio to get more publicity.

  8. WLGTV’s Facebook Page

  9. Creating a new logo & slogan

  10. The Tactics • The Tactic is the Media 490 internship with Professor Tom Neal.

  11. The Calendar/Timetable • This will all take place during the Spring Semester of 2014

  12. The Budget • Cost of printing flyers: $100.00
