  4. WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE BATTLE? • Union had 97,382 soldiers engaged • 1,694 troops killed • 9,672wounded • The south had 57,352 troops engaged • 1,724 troops killed • 9,233 troops wounded

  5. How did this battle impact the war overall? • GOOD THINGS • Confederate victory • Gained more land • More confidants • Killed more of Unions overall troops • BAD THINGS • Lost a general because of wound by own man!!!
