  2. The planets • There are eight planets in our solar system mercury, venus,earth, mars,jupiter, saturn,uranes,neptune .the most important planet is earth.

  3. The sun • The sun is 4.5million years old it is a big ball of flames but it is not a planet it is a star. If you go to the sun or go near the sun your will die intently Did you know that the sun can hold 1 million earths.

  4. mercury • Mercury's diameter 4880km (3030 miles). Mercury has the smallest axial tilt in the solar system. Amazingly mercury is the warmest planet in the solar system. its diameter Is 1,500km

  5. venus Venus is the second closet to the sun it orbits the sun in 224.7 earth days. After the moon Venus is the second brightest planet in the sky. Venus has a lot of warm craters therefore it has lava in them.venus is named after the roman goddess of love.

  6. Earth • Earth is the human race where we live earth is mostly covered in land and water .it is the 3rd planet away from the sun it takes 1year for the earth to orbit the sun and it takes 24 hours for the moon to orbit earth. It is the fifth largest planet .

  7. mars • Mars is the 4th planet in our amazing solar system it has the mars rover on it but we don't know if there are any life species on that certain planet. Mars is named after the ancient roman god of war. The roman gods believe that mars is the colour of blood from earth. Scientists believe that water once flowed on the planet.

  8. Jupiter • Jupiter is the 5th and largest planet away from the sun . Jupiter is a gas planet so if you land on Jupiter you would fall straight through it. All of the planets after Jupiter so there are more gas planets than rock planets.

  9. saturn • Saturn is the 6th planet away from the sun and it is the only planet with rings in the whole entire solar system the rings are made from million dust particles in space the rings are in loads of different colours.
