  2. TYPE OF PERFUME USED BY STUDENT IN UMP

  3. INTRODUCTION What is a perfume? • A substance that emits and diffuses a fragrant, pleasing scent odour Type of perfumes: (6) • Perfume extract (Extrait) • Eau de Parfum (EdP) • Parfum de Toilette (PdT) • Eau de Toilette (EdT) • Eau de Cologne (EdC) • Splash and After shave.

  4. Our research focus on how much UMP students know about perfume and help the students to estimates the best perfume for themselves. • It is important to know what type of fragrance, how to buy and wear it for the effect wanted because different perfume smell different on different people.

  5. Research objectives • To determine the type of perfume that UMP students like most. • To find out the factor that influences the students in buying the perfume.

  6. Research question • What is the type of perfume that UMP students like most? • What are the kinds of factors that influence students to buy the perfume?

  7. Methodology • The scope of study is the student in UMP. • Number of sample of participant is 30 people which include 13 men and 17 women. • Choose different gender to know the different taste of perfume they use and willingness to spend amount of money on perfume. • Age is selected at random. • Give questionnaire out and analysis all the data collected.

Conclusion • Both man and woman enjoy wearing perfume nowadays. • Price and brand are among the reason they buy the perfume. • Family is the main reason following by others, trend and friends while advertisement is the least influence buyers to buy perfume. • There are many factors that make both man and woman wear perfume but it varies from one person to another.

  10. Limitations • Limited sources in the internet to refer. • Research can only be done in UMP which mean the scope is not quite big enough to get more precise and persistent result. • Our respondents which is student does not know much about perfume. • There are no more questions added to support the answer in questionnaire

  11. Suggestions • Try to get more information from outside such as Kuantan library. • Should conduct the research outside of UMP. • Should ask how much the respondents know about perfume and not just randomly give them the questionnaire to answer. • Should put any suitable questions to support the answer and not just write it based on our own reasoning.
