  2. Overview • This Social Studies/Language Arts web-based project will cover the following Georgia Performance Standard. The student will be asked to create a video diary of one of the following people using MovieMaker. They will take notes and write their script for their movie on their key individual using the note taking sheet/script sheet. They will present their video to the class. The other students will take notes from the presentations using the group note taking sheet. They will use this note taking sheet for their multiple choice test that they will take at the end of the unit. • SS4H4.d Describe key individuals in the American Revolution with emphasis on King George III, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Benedict Arnold, Patrick Henry, and John Adams.

  3. Introduction Our nation is what it is due to the American Revolution. Do you remember all the details? Click on the video to the right to refresh your memory! BUT, what about the important people during the revolution?

  4. Task Help! The United States History Museum lost all of the diaries of the most important people in the American Revolution! That’s where you come in! You will get in our brand new Time Transporter 3000 and become one of these people! You will create a diary video about being that person using Movie Maker. The history museum will really appreciate it! Choose one of the following Americans to become! Get in the Time Transporter 3000 and travel back to the American Revolution! (Click on your person to begin!) King George III George Washington Benjamin Franklin Thomas Jefferson Benedict Arnold Patrick Henry John Adams

  12. Process You need to follow these steps very carefully: • Read the introduction and task pages very carefully. • Choose which person you will “become” . Sign up for that person and a time to present. NOTE: Your video must be ready by the time you signed up to present! • Begin your research. Use the resources found on the page about your individual. You may also search on your own. Save all the pictures you can find to your number. • Record the information on your note taking sheet. • Double-check the rubric to see how you can exceed the standard. • Create your video using Window’s Movie Maker. • Present! • Think about your project and answer the questions on the conclusion page. Staple this to your note taking/script sheet and turn in.
