  4. Our partners- NGO «Woman and Family» NGO «Woman and Family» Is created to improve the life quality and health of woman and her family by increasing the level of social and cultural life.

The neeed to expand accessible and comprehensive reproductive health care services for women. • The necessity to increase the population IEC level • on reproductive rights and duties. • The necessity to create the responsible reproductive behavior among adults and teens • The necessity to increase the women’s self-consciousness, and participation in the life of society • The necessity to eradicate all forms of violence against women • The necessity to create responsible parenthood and the strengthen the family institute Why did we come to that?

The stages of the development • 1996-1998 - preparation for setting up the center • May 1998- opening of the WWC in Minsk • May 1999- evaluation of the results and preparation for the opening of Mozyr WWC • Community involvement in health care programs • Creating common vision and team-building • April 2000 - the opening of the Mozyr WWC • January 2000- registration of NGO “Woman and Family ”

Why Mozyr? • Gomel region- post-Chernobyl area • The insufficient IEC level in the community • The highest level of pregnancy terminations in the RB • The highest level of teen abortions in the RB • High level of the oncological morbidity of the reproductive organs • The necessity to improve the primary health care in regions • Space available in the outpatient clinic • Support of the local professional society • Support of the local authorities
