  1. Status of Readout Boards and Gas Monitoring System Craig Woody BNL Upgrade Working Group June 6, 2006

Readout Boards • Instrumentation cannot meet production schedule to deliver all readout boards by mid July • Have located two outside vendors who can produce boards in 10 days after receipt of artwork. Price is ~$900/board from one company, $500/board from the other. First company has material in stock, other company does not. • Prototype for LSH full scale board will be finished in Instrumentation shop by end of this week • RHS full scale design will be finished by end of this week • If prototype board is ok, will proceed with production at outside vendor for delivery by end of June • Board stuffing will also be done by outside vendor. All parts in hand. 5 day turnaround C.Woody, HBD Working Group Meeting, 6/6/06

  3. Gas Monitoring System • Almost complete at McPherson. Delivery scheduled in two weeks • All other purchased components in hand • Need to manufacture few parts here at BNL (gas cells, phototube holders, etc). • Should be no problem to complete by mid July.
