  2. Workshop Overall Objective: To find advocacy entry points and explore strategies targeting European donors at the decentralized level

  3. The specific objectives of this workshop are: • Participants’ knowledge on how to conduct advocacy at decentralized level is strengthened. • Participants’ capacity on how to link the capitol and decentralized levels is reinforced. • Participants’ understanding on how advocacy activities among a) European CSOs and b) among European and Southern CSOs can be mutually reinforcing and complementary is strengthened.

  4. Workshop Main Output: A list of practical recommendations on innovative SRHR advocacy strategies targeting European donors at the decentralized level is compiled and shared.

Paris agenda • Ownership: Partner countries exercise effective leadership over their development policies and strategies and coordinate development actions. • Alignment: Donors base their overall support on partner countries’ national development strategies, institutions and procedures. • Harmonisation: Donor actions are more harmonised, transparent and collectively effective.

  6. Paris agenda • Managing for Results: Managing resources and improving decision-making for results. • Mutual accountability: Donors and partners are accountable for development results.

  10. Group discussion • What is the most effective division of labour between CSOs working at the decentralized level and CSOs working in European capitals? How can strategic partnerships between the EuroNGOs members and CSO partners in the South be successfully established? • Main opportunities and challenges identified
