Louisiana History By:Sophia Avila • Jazz is a popular style of music in the U.S. New Orleans, Louisiana is the birth place of Jazz. • The earliest instruments were provided by the African-American slaves. • Jazz was started and first heard in the early 20th century. Jazz moved to the U.S. later in that time. • Also the music style started to change into what we know as swing, bebop, African-Cuban, free jazz, and fusion.
