  2. Sample letter of apology Dear Peter, I am writing this to tell you that I cannot come to your lesson tomorrow. You can be sure, I am very sorry to miss the class. The reason for my absence is that our family anaconda has a sore throat, and has not eaten anything for 3 days. The vet can only see him tomorrow, and since my parents are abroad, I am the only one in the family to take him there. I hope you understand the situation. As for preparation for the next lesson, I plan to complete the homework tasks plus 22 extra exercises. Best wishes,

  9. Guess the topic – “Analyse this!” Please read the text below. What do you think it is about? ’A newspaper is better than a magazine. A seashore is a better place than a street. At first, it is better to run than to stand or walk. You may have to tryit several times. It takes some skill but it’s easy to learn. Even young children can enjoy it. Once successful, you will discover that complications are minimal. Birds rarely get too close. Rain, however, soaks in very fast. Too many people doing the same thing can also cause problems. One needs lots of room. If there are no complications, it can be very peaceful. A rock will serve an anchor. If things break loose from it, you will not get a second chance.’
