Job’s leadership • Like a transformational leader, he focuses on “transforming” others to help each other, to look out for each other, to be encouraging and harmonious and to look out for the organization as a whole • At Apple, he is seen as a leader whose brilliance and idealistic vision of “providing computers as a tool to change the world,” drew other talented people to him • His leadership creates valuable and positive change in the followers • In his leadership, he enhances the motivation, morale and performance of his follower group. Some people also categorize him as a charismatic leader • He motivated people because of his strong vision and success • Influence people through speaking his stories and experiences • Believed in innovation

  3. Idealized Influence • Steve Jobs is respected by so many people because he has built the foundation for many successful businesses including Apple, and Pixar • Jobs had a vision about the Apple computer that him who is known for today

  4. Inspirational Motivation • Steve Jobs motivates people by sharing his past experience • During his commencement speech at Stanford, Steve Jobs spoke about following his passion and always being curious

  6. Individualized Consideration • Steve Jobs didn’t always agree with his employees, although it may seem harsh, it was his leadership style to push the employees to achieve what would be a part of his vision • Jobs did not coach, but rather push his employees to perfection
