  1. Supplemental Figure 1 a b d c * e f g Renal injury was evaluated in 12 male hemizygous transgenic mice of the C57Bl/6 strain and 13 age-matched wildtype littermates. (a) Renal PRR expression was 30-fold increased in the transgenic mice. However, no significant difference was found for (b) albuminuria and (c) glomerular injury as well as renal expression of (d) PAI-1, (e) CCL2, (f) TGF-beta and (g) collagen IV.Basal data of the mice are shown in the supplemental table below.*=p<0.0001 Basal data male Atp6ap2/PRR C57Bl/6 mice 26

  2. Supplemental Figure 2 a DOCA + Ang II Normotensive Control C57Bl/6 b 5/6 Nephrectomy Control FVB/N Supplemental figure 2a shows that glomerular injury can be induced in C57Bl/6 mice. Administration of the aldosterone analogue DOCA in combination with infusion of Ang II by osmotic minipumps for two weeks induces arterial hypertension and severe glomerular injury as shown previously by us (Krebs). Moreover, as shown in supplemental figure 2b mice of the FVB/N strain are sensitive to 5/6 nephrectomy and develop severe glomerular injury within a few weeks after removal of one kidney and 2/3 of the remaining kidney as shown previously by us (Fraune).
