Stricter Member Requirements Scenario Blimperopulos Movers applies for membership but one of its principals previously headed up a company that went out of business the year before leaving other members stranded with unpaid invoices. IAM has also received a number of customer complaints alleging that this company had treated them poorly and had to make double payments in order to release their shipments.

  7. RPP Key Points IAM Staff Intervention on Outstanding Invoices - Staff have resolved over $400,000 USD worth of invoice disputes since May 2011 through Invoice Dispute Resolution Process. Monthly IAM Alleged Debtor List - List showing all of the IAM Members who allegedly are not paying their invoices Unpaid Invoice Compensation – Now includes invoices that stem from U.S. Military and Government Shipments

Your Role In The Process • Check the Prospective Member List on the IAM website each month • Read the Alleged Debtor List each month and make sure invoices do not age beyond 180 days • Ensure that your staff understands the RPP and how it can protect your company from monetary loss • Report a company if they are using IAM’s name or logo when not a member • Let IAM know if you have questions about a member at membership@iamovers.org • If a company slips through the cracks, it affects everybody
