  8. Farmers Organize • Great supply=lower price for grain. Farmers pushed for inflation. • Small farmers (WEST) and sharecroppers (EAST) fell into debt. • Populism declines after 1900.

  9. What’s Next • Farmers continue to demand reforms and the struggle to survive in the West continues. • Back east, the rise of BIG business and industry is followed by its own labor reforms.
