  2. Why is this book important to me? The book is important to me because it helped me understand all the financial challenges that working students, like me face, and now I know that I am not alone.

  3. My point of view on the book … There is an increase of debt in our generation compared with the previous generation because of less grant money and more loans being offered instead. The cost of tuition rises every year. Jobs are not paying as well as they used to, with less opportunity for students without a degree to thrive. Some students who were planning on going for their bachelor’s or master’s degrees end up settling for certificates or associate degrees because they fear the debt they mightacccumulate. I agree 100% with the author.

  4. What is the author saying? The author explains how there are many things that are stacked against today’s youth and how it’s getting worse every year. The following are some examples: Credit card debt is out of control. There is not enough regulation for credit card companies. Starting a family throws people further into debt.. Young people are living with their parents for longer periods of time because of all the debt that they have incurred while getting their education. It’s time for America’s youth to stand up and push for the government to provide reform on the education, financial, and a better healthcar system than we have now.

  5. My take … I think that only way things will change is if young people become more aware of how the current system functions and rise up against the big banks and corporations that are controlling every aspect of our lives by protesting and voting out the politicians who are being bought by lobbyists.
