  2. Remember firefighters work together as a team not as a single person.

  3. Education/Training • You don’t need to take a college course to be a fire fighter. All you need is to learn to fight fires, fire preventing techniques, the local building codes, and emergency medical procedures.

  4. Salary • The average salary for a fire fighter is $45,250

  5. Attributes/abilities • In order to be a fire fighter you have to be able to run, crawl, able to predict what might happen.

  6. Job Outlook • Fire Fighters Employment is said to decrease by 9%

  7. Duties of a Fire Fighter Some important duties of a firefighter is to drive to the area the fire was reported at. Another one is firefighters is to clean and maintain their equipment. Then there's the firefighters that have to help hold the hose so the firefighter at the front doesn't let go of the hose and get hurt.

  8. Duties cont’d…. • Some work on the fire trucks and some keep up with where people are and etc.

  9. How do Fire Fighters use math • Fire fighters use math to find out the wind trajectory in order to find out the way the fire is most likely to go and how big the fire might get and to also keep the water pressure percentage.
