  1. Using SkyWard Family Access

  2. SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS Go to http://www.edmonds.wednet.edu/mms/ What is Family Access? Family Access is a Web module that allows guardians to access student information over the Internet using a secure login initially assigned by the school district. School districts can enable and configure the areas of Family Access that best meet the district’s and communities needs. Certain areas of Family Access are configured at the district level while other areas can be entity specific. Getting Started – Login and Password School districts will assign the initial Login and Password. Login information is not case sensitive. Depending on the Family Access configuration, Login and Passwords can be changed and or retrieved if a family email address is recorded in WESPaC.

  3. Enter your Login and Password. Click on the ‘Login’ tab.

  4. Student Information Near the top of the page is a Student selection drop down list that contains the students associated with that guardian. Family Access displays information for the students that are visible in this list. Guardians can toggle between students to view their individual information. Next to the Student selection is the School selection drop down list that displays both inactive and active entities associated with the student. When the user changes the entity in that list for a student, the information related to that entity displays in Family Access.

  5. Account Information This area allows guardians to configure Family Access user accounts. If districts activate this option, guardians can change their login and password information, as well as update their email information online. If this option is selected and a guardian does not have an email address on record, Family Access will prompt them to enter their email address when they log in.

  6. Student Information The Student Information application displays student information that is on record with the school. If changes need to be made, parents can contact their student’s school office.

  7. Gradebook The Gradebook application displays a student’s grading information for the current year. To see the assignments that make up a specific grade, click on the underlined Term grade. To contact the student’s teacher through email, click on the underlined teacher’s name.

  8. Gradebook - Missing Assignments The Missing Assignments view displays a list of the student’s classes and any assignments that are missing for all classes throughout the entire school year.

  9. Message Center The Message application displays a message from district administration and/or student’s teacher(s).

  10. Attendance The Attendance application informs guardians of their student’s excused and unexcused absences and tardies. If the option is enabled, the Attendance Notifications view allows parents to submit an upcoming absence and reason for their student. They can also view the history of absence notifications.

  11. Discipline The Discipline application displays discipline offense information for the student. To view specific offense information, click the underlined offense which displays detailed information.

  12. Test Scores The Test Scores application displays Washington State test scores (i.e., WASL). Click on the underlined “Show Scores” for the corresponding test for student’s score.

  13. Fee Management The Fee Management application displays the fees and payments associated with the student.
