  2. Scoliosis • Scoliosis is a side-to-side curve of the spine that becomes apparent during adolescence. Unknown for some reason, but this occurs in women more than in men.

  3. How you get Scoliosis? • Some people are just more likely to get curving of the spine as they grow and get worse through a growth spurt. • Congenital scoliosis is when a baby’s ribs or spine bones do not form properly. • Neuromuscular scoliosis is caused by a nervous system problem that affects your muscles.

  4. What happens to the skeletal system? • The spines curves more to one side of the body than the other. • One shoulder might be higher than the other, due to even hips or shoulders. • After sitting or standing for awhile, in your spine will be tired feelings. • Low-back pain or backaches.

  5. Does the body try to fix itself? • The body cannot fix itself due to the reason of your body growing. Although there are ways of treating scoliosis such as surgery depending on how bad your spine is.

  6. What medicines are needed? • There are no medicines to help stop or help scoliosis.

  7. Is Scoliosis curable? • Scoliosis can be cured surgically or by a back support, depending on how bad the condition is.
