  1. Warm up 10/29/13 • Question: What is the density of water? • Answer: • 1 g/mL • Goal: I will review density.

ELEMENT OF THE DAY • 21 – Scandium – Sc • Scandium is expensive, but not because it is rare, but because it is not found in any concentrated amounts. • Scandium is used in more expensive aluminum alloys to make the aluminum stronger (like expensive bike frames, baseball bats, etc). • It is also used in lighting to create a more natural light in bulbs used for street lamps, warehouses, and mega stores.
