  3. Goal • increased motivation for learning foreign languages • to find and evaluate innovative methods for the teaching of foreign languages • to integrate the use of communication technologies in the process of learning

  4. Meaning • a modified system for teaching • higher quality in the teaching of foreign languages

  5. Activity • visits and exchanges of teachers between the partnerschools • the visitors get experiences from the teaching of foreign languages at the schools they visit -the results will form the basis for the further development of the project

  6. Activity • project meetings for the purpose of developing and evaluating the project • to give teacher students the possibility to make part of their teaching practise at partnerschools • cooperation between ILU, and The Institution for teacher training in Kassel

  7. 2003/2004 • Projektmeeting in Graz Rapports, detailed planning, ECML, -The Tower of Babel-the origin and diversity of oral and written languages -guided tour in Graz, reception at the City Hall and meeting with local school politician

Project activity • Questionnaire for pupils about language learning and teaching • Classproject with the partnerschool in Rodez has been initiated where language, IT and science will be integrated in a theme • Teacher students from teacher training for upper secondary school in En/Ge at ILU visit Northeim w. 6-7

Teacher exchanges September 2003, 2 teachers from Northeim to Uppsala • Mars 2004, 2 teachers from Uppsala to Northeim • April 2004, 2 teachers from Uppsala to Rodez • May 2004, 2 teachers from Graz to Uppsala, 2 teachers from Rodez to Uppsala • V. 19 Pedagogical Pub with Austrian and French guests
