  2. Habitat • The free tailed bat, which lives in southern United States, Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, also lives in Central China and Argentina. As they roost in caves and old buildings, it sleeps.

  3. Food: • It eats moths, nectar and insects. To eat food free tailed bat licks and chews.

  4. Enemies: Its enemies are snakes, raccoons, house cats, owls and people.

  5. Babies: • An adult female bat will usually have 1 baby. The pregnancy lasts 78 days. The babies are born in summer. The babies are dark brown to gray.

  6. Description: • They are 9cm in length. They weigh about 12.3g. They are dark brown to gray. They survive for about 18 years. Some of these bats are very beautiful.

  7. Interesting Facts: • There colonies can get up to 20,000,000 bats. They are farmer’s best friends because they eat insects which don’t bother their cattle. Some live under bridges.
