  5. Appearance The White Tailed Deer is 3 to 4 feet tall. They are as tall as a adult’s neck. They have a snowy white tail. Babies have dots on their backs and are called fawns. Only the males have antler. The females are called doe. Males are called bucks.

  6. The White Tailed Deer’s Habitat The white tailed deer can live mostly any- where. They can live in the United States, Southern Canada, Mexico, and North America. They live near vegetable gardens because they like to eat those plants. Farmers don’t like deer very much because they steal their crops. They live in forests, farmlands, swamps and near lakes .

  7. Diet The white tailed deer are herbivores. That means they are plant eaters. They are can’t get that much food in the winter. They almost starve when there is snow on the ground. That means that they could die. They eat green plants like grass, bushes, leaves, buds, and stems. They also eat bark, berries, twigs and acorns.

  8. Enemies The White tailed deer’s enemies are men. Men hunt them for their meat and their fur. Some men hunt them for fun and hang deer heads on the wall. Other enemies are bobcats, jaguars , grizzly bears, and alligators.

  9. Conclusion We should not kill our white tailed deer just because they have fresh meat. They also have nice fur. We shouldn‘t kill them because the bucks have antlers . Maybe if we stop killing them they will love us!!
