The DynaTAC came in at a modest 2.5 pounds in terms of its weight. The device was enormous, somewhat expensive, and did not provide all that much value. It could only make and receive calls, and its battery only lasted a few hours at a time. As time has passed, mobile phones have become smaller, less expensive, and offer fewer features. The first phones to be sold commercially came in the 1980s. These phones were large and expensive, but they had a longer battery life and more functionality than their predecessors. The iPhone was equipped with a quick processor, a sizeable touch screen, and a plethora of applications that may come in handy. It was the first smartphone to have an interface that was both fully intuitive and user-friendly. The iPhone single-handedly redesigned the whole smartphone electronic store and motivated competitors to develop their ground-breaking products in response.
