  3. Hypothesis (Planning) • Students decide what products they intend to purchase. • Students predict environmental effects of their bridge. • Students predict the effect of the environmental conditions on their bridge. • Take digital pictures of group planning (for digital diary).

  4. Gather Information • Students will use primary and secondary sources to research bridge designs and methods in engineering of bridges using trade books, reference books and the Internet. • Learn jobs associated with bridge construction. • Take digital pictures to document progress.   5. Experiment • Group members will create a blueprint of the bridge they intend to build, groups will decide which design is best and that person will be architect. • Students purchase materials through class warehouse. • Students will build their bridge. • Take digital pictures.

  6. Data Collection • Students will collect data and make a spreadsheet on daily costs. • Make observations on bridge competency vs. amount spent (most cost effective). • Make observations of bridge breaking. • Take digital pictures.

  7. Conclusion • What did you learn from this project? • Compare and contrast Excel graphs. • Take digital pictures to incorporate into a class/group/or individual Powerpoint.
