INSTITUTIONALIZING ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION AS PART OF KTO12 As one of its salient features the K to 12 is designed to nurture holistically developed Filipino that allows for graduates to be prepared to pursue any of the different paths they wish to pursue, may it be education, employment or entrepreneurship. “Instead of being employed, you can choose to start your own business after graduating”. The deliberate inclusion of entrepreneurship to the curriculum has not only allowed for learners to gain competencies that will capacitate them for establishing, managing and growing a business, it has allowed learners to have a broader view of the career choices they can make as individuals.

  6. ENTREPRENEURSHIP AS MEANS OF NATION BUILDING CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY What Is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, also called corporate citizenship, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental. To engage in CSR means that, in the ordinary course of business, a company is operating in ways that enhance society and the environment instead of contributing negatively to them. BPI: ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EDUCATION BPI Foundation provides learning sessions on financial and credit management through its “Show Me, Teach Me SME - Empowering Entrepreneurs” with the help of BPI, its thrift bank arm BPI Family Savings Bank and the Department of Trade and Industry 2. PEPSI: ASENSO A is for asenso, or progress. By providing access to livelihood, PCPPI helps start-up entrepreneurs who want to improve their lives and succeed. The main program under the CSR Commitment of Asenso is the Entrepreneurial Distribution System (EDS), which was started over 10 years ago. EDS helps individual entrepreneurs to buy Pepsi products and sell these at small sari-sari stores, giving them a source of livelihood

BDO: Livelihood Forty-five motorized boats with fish nets were donated by BDO employees and officers to Project BANGKA (BigayAgad NG Kabuhayan) of Regina Rica Foundation for the residents of Barangay Santikan, San Dionisio, Iloilo. Onward, with passion and commitment In 2015, BDO through its foundation expects to see the full delivery of projects — school buildings, rural health centers and shelter sites – which commenced the previous year. 4. JOLLIBEE GROUP FOUNDATION: Farmer Entrepreneurship Program Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is home to the largest quick-service food chains in the country. Its daily requirement for raw ingredients such as rice and vegetables, puts the company in a unique position to assist small farmers achieve a more sustainable livelihood. The Jollibee Group Foundation as the corporate social responsibility arm (CSR) of JFC converted this opportunity into a program it could develop to improve the incomes of small farmers

  9. ACTIVITY 1: KEEP THE FIRE, ENTREPRENEUR Instructions: 1. As part of daily routine, teacher will assign one student per day to share an inspirational quotation or saying to share with the class. 2. Each student should have their reflection notebook with the daily inspirational quotes/saying. 3. This aims to consistently motivate the learners in their entrepreneurship journey.

  10. PERFORMANCE TASK: ROAD WAY TO SUCCESS: MY DREAM BOARD Instructions: 1. Students will ask to bring their own materials (namely: personalized dream book, coloring materials, pictures, magazine, glue and pencil) for this activity. 2. List down dreams you want to achieve, three (3) to five (5) years from now. It is advised to categorize these into four (4): Family, Personal, Career and Spiritual. 3. Cut out or draw your dreams and paste it to your dream book. Enumerate specific details on the dream including the: date, location who is/are with you when you reach that dreams. 4. Make a one sentence/paragraph cheer/ slogan for yourself. This will help encourage yourself, most specially in challenging times. (e.g. “Be the BEST Emilie! You can do it!” and/or “I am SUCCESSFUL through the strength of the LORD.”)
