We have not yet reached a state of spiritual enlightenment: Some spiritual traditions believe that the reason we cannot see God is that we have not yet reached a state of spiritual enlightenment. We need to purify our minds and hearts through spiritual practices to be able to perceive God. God chooses not to reveal himself: Some people believe that God chooses not to reveal himself to us for various reasons, such as wanting us to develop faith and trust in him without relying on physical evidence.
