  2. Overview: Abra-Bound is a prescription medicine comprising albumin-bound paclitaxel. It is used to treat individuals suffering from breast cancer. The side effects of albumin bound paclitaxel injection (100mg) are dehydration, constipation, headaches, tiredness, etc. Pharmacodynamics Paclitaxel is a taxoid antineoplastic agent indicated as first-line and subsequent therapy for the treatment of advanced carcinoma of the ovary, and other various cancers including breast cancer. It is a novel antimicrotubule agent. It promotes the assembly of microtubules from tubulin dimers. Also, it stabilizes microtubules by preventing depolymerization. This stability further results in the inhibition of the normal dynamic reorganization of the microtubule network. This is essential for vital interphase and mitotic cellular functions. Paclitaxel works to induce abnormal arrays or "bundles" of microtubules throughout the cell cycle and multiple asters of microtubules during mitosis.
