General Facts & Figures • UK – Almost 600,000 people from ‘Eastern’ Europe have registered to work in the UK since May 2004, Home Office figures (27.02.06). • Polish - 65% of the total (390,000)- followed • Lithuanians -11% (66,000) • NI – 60,000 estimated • Poles: 35,000/45,000 • Lithuanians: 3,500/4,000* * Official 4,000 est 15,000 – Lithuanian Ambassador in Šilutés Magazine 8th March 07
