WFU Designation: Methods • Wildland Fire Use (WFU) flags were based on: • DOI-1202 fire type designation Agencies: FWS, NPS, BLM, BIA • NIFMID fire type designation Agency: US Forest Service • These flags were not used in the Phase I EI • WFU fires in Phase I EI were verified by: • Fire Name • Fire Date • Fire Acreage

  4. WFU Designation: Results • Wildland Fires re-assigned to WFU by source: • DOI-1202 167,708 acres • NIFMID 33,934 acres • TOTAL 201,642 acres
