  1. WELCOME BACK MARIST COLLEGE DANCE ENSEMBLE

  2. When and where is the show? • November 22nd at 4:00 pm & November 23rd at 2:00 pm • Show will be at Poughkeepsie High School • Rehearsal week is the week before the show (starts Nov. 16th), practice every night (one night off) • MANDATORY • Dress rehearsal the Friday night before the show

  3. Signing Up For Classes • Dances will be posted on our website by Wednesday • Choose dances that you like, fit your level AND that fit your schedule • Email your prospective choreographers on Friday, September 12th at 7:00pm (hint: don’t use foxmail) • Choreographers must get back to you by Saturday 10:00pm • Email the choreographer again if you do not hear back from them • If you don’t get into any dances please email club account • I will find at least 1 dance for everyone to be in

  4. What to do if I can’t make a meeting or class… • You are allowed to miss ONE meeting • You do not have to tell us you are going to miss it or why • If the meeting is at 9:30 and • You have dance at 9:00pm come after • You have dance at 10:00pm come before • Missing dance class • You can miss 2 classes, then it is up to the choreographer whether or not to ask you to leave

  6. Receiving Club Emails • Email the club account • Danceensemble.club@gmail.com • Put MCDE FALL in the “Subject” • You will be put on the email list to receive club emails throughout the semester

  7. Executive Board 2014-2015

  8. President • Oversee actions of entire club • Determine dates of activities • Choreographer auditions • Liaison between members and Marist community Deanna Clark

  9. Vice President • Priority Points • Attend 2/3 meetings and class attendance(1 point) • 3 community service opportunities or committees (1 point) • Puts together and approves music for show and works with MCTV • Approves all costume decisions • Helps with auditions and is the liaison between the choreographers and the executive board Sam Soprano

  10. Secretary • Liaison between executive board and members • Sends emails and updates to members • Go to if not receiving emails Trina Cardamone

  11. Treasurer • Responsible for financial records of the club • In charge of allocations and budget • Handles all matters regarding club expenses Alyssa Dibello

  12. Show Committee Manager • Oversees all vendors at the show • Responsible for Show Committee (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITY) • In charge of apparel and ticket sales • Apparel sale dates: Oct. 15th, Oct. 16th, Oct. 21st Katelyn Ollhoff

  14. Public Relations Manager • Publicizes the show both on campus and off campus • Creates flyers, tickets, programs and posters • Behind the Curtain Campaign (Priority Point Opportunity-sign up after the meeting!) • http://mcdebehindthecurtain.wordpress.com/ Sam Cillo

  15. Community Service Manager • Researches and finds events for community service opportunities (PRIORITY POINT OPPORTUNITIES) • Finds organizations for the 50/50 donation Devon McCaffrey

  17. Dancing to End Dating Violence • Event co-sponsored with Heart1 • Wednesday, October 22nd 11am-2pm • Look out for more details!

  18. Beautiful Me Workshop • Tuesday, September 23rd • 75 spots all filled up! • Community Service Activity for those who signed up

  19. Family Weekend • Performance/Priority Point Opportunity • Saturday, September 27th @ 12pm-5pm • Work the Booth orDance at the Family Weekend Country Fair • Sign up for either at the end of the meeting!

  20. Keep an eye out for more community service opportunities through out the semester!! You need THREE to get your Community Service Priority Point
