    • Acts as comparitor

    • Produces a voltage proportional to the phase difference between input and output signal

    • Voltage becomes a control signal

    • Determines dynamic characteristics of PLL

      • Specify Capture Range (bandwidth)

      • Specify Tracking Range

  • Receives signal from Phase Detector and filters accordingly
