  1. Chelan CountyStemilt Loop Full Depth Reclamation, Phase II: Stemilt Loop Road is a Rural Minor Collector located in the Wenatchee Heights. The road serves agricultural, residential and recreational traffic.Stemilt Loop Road Full-Depth Reclamation, Phase II, will continue preservation work started last year on Stemilt Loop Road.

  2. Stemilt Loop Full Depth Reclamation, Phase II Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a pavement rehabilitation technique in which the full flexible pavement section and a predetermined portion of the underlying materials are uniformly crushed, pulverized or blended, resulting in a stabilized base course. Concrete is added to the mixed material for additional strength. The material is watered and compacted, resulting in a uniform high strength subgrade. After the new subgrade has set, a chip seal surface treatment will be used for the new driving surface.  This process was successfully used for the first phase of Stemilt Loop FDR in 2010, and this project will be a second phase, taking the preservation work from milepost 2.18 for an additional two miles.

  3. Stemilt Loop Full-Depth Reclamation, Phase II • Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a cost effective option for preservation work on Stemilt Loop Road. • Full-Depth reclamation is not only an economically viable option, it is also a “green” option. FDR recycles materials from the existing roadway and requires less shipping of materials. • Phase II will extend the previously completed preservation work that has already been well received by orchardists and residents of the area. Total Project Cost: $500, 000 County Funds: $ 67,500 Federal STP Funds Requested: $432,500

  4. Chelan CountyManson Downtown Overlay and ADA Upgrade: Wapato Way is a Rural Major Collector that runs through the community of Manson. The road serves agricultural, residential and tourist traffic.Phase I of the project will grind and overlay work at Wapato Way from Manson Boulevard to Green Streetand upgrade deficient ADA facilities.

  5. Manson Downtown Overlay and ADA Upgrade: The Manson Downtown Overlay and ADA Ramp Upgrade is Phase I of Chelan County’s Manson Downtown Business District project, identified on the County’s Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan. Work will occur inside the current roadway prism and therefore will not require a lengthy environmental process or right-of-way purchase. Phase I of the project will grind and overlay work at Wapato Way from Manson Boulevard to Green Street.  Wapato Way provides access for shopping, residential traffic, and tourism. The Manson Community Council and downtown business owners are in support of this much needed preservation project.

  6. Stemilt Loop Full-Depth Reclamation, Phase II • Curbs with outdated and dangerous ADA ramps from the sidewalk to street level will be corrected to the current ADA compliant standard at the time of the preservation work, improving mobility, safety and livability of the area for the disabled as well as all other motorized and non-motorized users.
