  4. Plasma potential definition ECPM, Nice

  5. One scan takes about 30 seconds Plasma potential vs temperature High plasma potential -> No temperature effect! plasma potential same for all charge states ECPM, Nice

  6. Plasma potential vs temperature Low plasma potential -> temperature effect dominates Linear fit cannot be used for low charges Most reliable plasma potential value is obtained with high charge states! ECPM, Nice

  7. Simulated decay curves Code includes different input values: - plasma potential profile - distribution of ions - temperature of ions - mass and charge state Exact overlapping of measured and simulated curves only with certain input parameters -> plasma potential and temperature are obtained ECPM, Nice

  8. Ion temperature ECPM, Nice

  9. Plasma potential vs emittance ECPM, Nice

  12. A Multi-purpose totally Superconducting ECRIS (MS-ECRIS, inspired from the GyroSerse project), with an adjustable magnetic configuration : Bmax = 4 T; Brad = 2.7 T; large ECR zone, f = 28 GHz according to our scaling laws A more compact source, with a lower magnetic field and an higher power density (A-PHOENIX source) with a technology based on HTS coils and permanent magnets Bmax=3 T; Brad~ 1.7 T to 2.2 T GOALS To design, build and test prototypes of ECRIS with a magnetic field still never reached and frequency ≥ 28 GHz ECPM, Nice
