Robert E. lee declined Lincoln’s offer to become The Confederate General.went to the Confederate army and became the General.Born on January 19, 1807.died 1870.defeated many Union armies.Died of a very severe stoke.At the end of the civil war he surrendered to Union General Grant.During the war he received a letter saying his daughter died of scarlet fever.Became General of The army of northern Virginia.When Joseph E. Johnson was injured.

  3. General Grant born April 27,1822.died from throat cancer on July 23,1885.met Abe Lincoln for the first time on March 8,1864.Became president after the civil war. Picture of him is on the 50 dollar bill.Got his education at west point.Defeated many Confederate armies including General Lee who surrendered to Grant.Had four children.His mom was Hannah Grant.His dad was Jesse Grant.

  4. At the end of the war Grant had victory and Lee had failure.
