Intérêts de recherche – projets en cours / Research Interests – Current projects • CIHR (2007-09): • Interprofessional approaches to shared decision making in primary care: advancing theories, frameworks, methods, and measurement (Co-PI; $122,566) • Translating shared decision making into clinical practices: Proof of concept (Co-I; $24,993) • Foundation for Informed Decision Making (2007-2010) • Are patient decision aids for total joint replacement cost-effective and do they optimize the surgical referral process from primary care? ($100,000 US) • Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (2007) • Cancer patient’s involvement in decision making at the General Hospital (Co-PI; $9,944) • UOttawa Faculty of Medicine Funded (2007-08) • Implementing shared decision making in resident training: A pilot study (Co-PI: $13,321) • FONDEF (2005-2008) • Development of a telephone mediated health care model (MATS), as a component of Cardiovascular Health Care Programs in Chile, to improve decision support, self-care, client satisfaction and metabolic compensation of clients with type 2 diabetes (Co-I; $436,000) • UOttawa Faculty of Health Sciences (2007-08) • Measuring use of evidence-based clinical decision support resources within nursing curriculum (PI; 2 RA positions) • Appraisal of shared decision making theories, models, and frameworks (PI; 1 RA position) Faculté des sciences de la santé / Faculty of Health Sciences
