Basic Facts • Humans migrated across the pacific during the last ice age, which was 11,500 years ago. • During the Ice age much of Earth’s water was locked up in glaciers. • The result of this was seas water level lowering, so that it exposed land previously underwater. • A Land bridge is a land connection that joins together separate areas, which allows animals and people to migrate or go across.

  4. Vocabulary!!!!!! • Another name for the Bering land bridge is Beringia! • A glacier is an extended mass of ice formed from snow fall and gathering over the years. • A land bridge is an actual land connection that connects landmasses.
