  3. Complete Session #1 • Develop an understanding of the Domains of Family Practice • Have Table 1 from the article handy. • Alternatively, read the following article: • Myers-Walls, 1J. A., Ballard, S. M., Darling, C., & Myers-Bowman, K. S. (2011). Reconceptualizing the domain and boundaries of family life education. Family Relations, 60, 357-372.

  4. Clarify Career Goals • This step focuses on professional and career aspirations. • The questions mirror the journalistic questions that are part of the DFP model. • Print out Handout 2SS and write your answers to the questions. Use additional pages as necessary. • Where did your answers lead you?

  5. Personal Reflection • Think about the personal characteristics, knowledge, and skills you feel are needed for each of the three roles. • Print out Handout 2BSS and fill out your answers.

  6. What is Your Professional Role? • Print out Handout 2CSS. • Follow the instructions. • Look at your answers to the three handouts for this session. Is there a pattern? Where do you fit best?

  7. And now what? • What will you do with the information and experiences from this session? • Write down your goals. Be specific. Include HOW you will accomplish them. Determine when and how you will review your progress.
